How to play The Ascent
Steer the bounce
Your climber bounces on its own. Steer with the arrow keys or A and D. On a phone, hold the left or right side of the game or use the arrow buttons. Going off one edge brings you back on the other.
Know your ledges
Green ledges are solid and blue ones slide. Brown ledges crumble when you land, and purple ones fade in and out. A red spring sends you flying.
Reach the summit
Each stage has a target altitude. Fall below the screen and the climb is over. Spiky drifters knock you back down, but landing on top of one squashes it for bonus points.
Earn 3 stars
Reaching the summit earns 1 star. Collecting the coin target earns another, and beating the par time earns the third. Clear stage 1 to unlock Endless mode.
